I suppose it’s the same old follow-on to the Magna Carta crap and crafty bishops and barons looking after themselves usual in the end. It’s a very simple issue of human liberty and freedom that has been made into something overly complex, thanks to politicians spinning like tops on various well-paid committees.

The UK Human Rights Act is flawed as we know (see elsewhere on this site) but are we better off with it than without it? What are we to make of David Cameron's throw away comment in a Party Political Broadcast that it will have to go? Even Labour, who enacted it, seem to be holding back the frustration they feel when they try to lock people up without charge and the courts enforce their rights under the act.

What do SAFFers think about the future of this Act?
