i came across your website by accident(or by a higher power)and the one
thing that stands out is the fact that satanism is always alledged
against pagans and wiccans but how can we be satanists?after all satan
is a christian invention and has no relevence at all to pagan/wiccans
our gods and godess's are all older than the christian faith system, and
after all if our rituals were satanic then why does the church adopt
many of the elements in their own?
(incense, candles, bells, wine and bread to name a few!) also why does the church hold most of its holy days on pagan festivals?havnt we got enough to worry about in this country without christian zealots launching a hatemongering campaign against us? blessed be... |

| Interesting. |
I looked at the posts from "Rev Church" at the time, and wondered how he'd got the information about who had registered so many sites. The sites looked like attempts to obtain donations in a less than up front way (i.e. potentially petty crime), rather than a serious threat to society.
As far as respect to the Archbishop goes consider this: The CoE has mounted an anti-pagan campaign which Williams had the opportunity to knock back but didn't. The CoE has set aside funds to futher this campaign this year. The smears used in the name of the Archbishop would be considered unacceptable by any faith group, and are only being used by the CoE because they perceive most Pagans as being too laid back and "live and let live" to challenge them. They are therefore, using one of Paganism's better qualities, genuine tolerance, against it.
Now clearly, any political strategist will find the subtle effectiveness of some of his tactics, worthy of respect. They are very clever. But, they are also very dangerous and broadly immoral.
On the other hand, it would appear he is now presiding over a division of the Church which will seriously disadvantage the more tolerant elements within the CoE.
Why is this worthy of repect?
Full marks to Rev. Church who put out an alert on a possible satanic association. If those drawn to the New Age side are a representative sample of humanity then statistically there will be a small minority who could fall prey to the wrong kind of influence and be led astray towards the selfish darker side. I was dismayed to see some of the comments made on this alert and also the disrespect shown to the Archbishop of Canterbury in another post. It is quite possible to make a serious point without denigration and the serious point was of course lost as a direct result of that denigration.
I chose a trustee at random and did a google search. I found details of his entire career and lots of other information quite easily.
Hardly strikes me as a secret organisation. Perhaps SAFFERS may want to watch this one as an example of how conspiracies rumours grow. Unless someone has more information than I could find?
