Greetings Julie
This issue is so personal and so critical to the future of your family that it is not suitable for open debate on the SAFF forum. Parents who are victimised in this way often have to go it alone with no prior experience or knowledge of the system itself and this is designed into the system to de-empower parents and people who might want to help them. Most ordinary folk have absolutely no idea of the pernicious laws against the family wielded by the authorities which deprive parents of the most basic human rights and thus It is no wonder then that parents who are caught up in this Inquisition want to publicly air their grievances. Unfortunately this too can be against the law and doing so can actually work against the best interests of the parents and their children. All further correspondence relating to this situation should be addressed directly to tony-rhodes@saff.org.uk who is experienced in assisting pagan families who are being persecuted by social services because of prejudice about their religious beliefs. There is a set form of action for you to take which he can advise you on which will protect both your interests and that of your children.
That said it seems clear that the Key social worker on your case is a Christian zealot whose ignorant and prejudicial views on non-Christian beliefs should have been identified sooner by her trainers and so we will add the comments below so that other surfers can understand some of the questions your email raised.
It is absolutely forbidden after the guidelines drawn up following the Satan Scare of the 1990s for any social worker to make decisions on the welfare of children using untested/unproven suspicions about ritual motives without firm evidence of harm and if they even consider it they must first report it to their Head of Social Services. The very first thing you should do is to write to the Head of your Social Services department and lodge a complaint against the Key social worker for religious prejudice. He/she will then be either replaced with someone else, or their prejudice curtailed and you can then deal with the real issues in the case rather than unsubstantiated fears derived from Satan Seminars and OTT media promotion of this issue.
You stated in your email that the social workers are trying to push your children into a Catholic school and that your children would have to be baptisted. This is completely erroneous. Under the Education Act all faith schools MUST hold a few places open for children from other religions in order to maintain their central funding. Those children must not, under the British Human Rights Act, be forced to change their religion or be baptised in order to gain entry. Obviously with a shortage of school places generally this inbuilt elitism of church schools means that nominal Christians are willing to consider affirmation for their children in order to be accepted, which is a scandal in itself, but they cannot force YOU to have YOUR children baptised against your wishes. Thus it may be that your Christian zealot social worker is intentionally misleading you in order to steal your children's souls for Jesus. This fact should also be discussed with the Head of Social Services.
Keep faith and contact Tony Rhodes directly at the above address for more background and advice.

School and social services UK posted by julie User posted on August 28, 2010 at 02:12 PM Reply to this Message Write Our 2 children are home schooled and some kind christian person has reported them to social services for not receiving a suitable education(we use the Steiner method)When they found out we are pagan they set out to either get them in school or put them in care. The social worker lied through her teeth she said we had 6 black cats, we have 1 snow spot Bengal. She looked in one cupboard out of 11 double and said there was little food she declined to look in the two chest freezers (in hindsight she may have worried we would push her in) the school they are determined to get them in is Roman Catholic and as such they would have to be baptised They have stopped us moving near a suitable school IE non denominational by saying we will disappear in a net-work of non Christians and Satan worshipers and the children are at risk of neglect, abuse, and maybe worse. If anyone has any ideas or advice please get in touch.Thank you.
